A total of 45 OFW-Licensure Examination for Teacher (LET) passers received teaching kits under the “Sa ‘Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma’am/Sir” (SPIMS) program last 14 June 2019 at the DOLE Regional Office VI, Jaro, Iloilo City.
The teaching kits, which consist of one (1) wireless voice amplifier, and one (1) laptop, have been given to such beneficiaries who worked as Teachers and Domestic Workers in Asian countries like Japan, Thailand, and Hong Kong, among others.
The SPIMS beneficiaries extended their appreciation to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) thru the National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) for receiving the kits.
"Thank you so much for this teaching kit. Malaking tulong po ito sa aking pagtuturo. More power po. God bless," said Ritchel Lozada, former Domestic Worker in Hong Kong and one of the SPIMS beneficiaries in Region 6.
Such beneficiaries are now teaching in different elementary schools in parts of Region 6.
The SPIMS program is an OFW reintegration convergence project of DOLE, Department of Education (DepEd) and other government agencies which provide opportunities for OFW LET passers. ###
